Notepad Minor is a basic text editor with options that make it well suited for exam conditions.
📝 This forces the student to enter their name and other details. Auto Save / Archive backup options are also enabled by default to reduce the chance of work being lost!
🗄️ When enabled, this will periodically save your work to a Tar archive file enabling you to view (or revert back to) older versions of your work. This Tar archive can also be opened with applications such as 7-Zip.
⚙️ From a simple config file, set accessibility defaults such as larger fonts or inverted colours. Also set a default save location for the exam mode.
🍻 The Java version should run on any computer that has Java 11+ installed including Windows, Apple and Linux PC's! There is also a version specifically for Window PC's that have .Net installed! Completely free to use which also means no risk if you find you don't like it!
Despite the different version numbers, the Windows and Java versions are virtually identical. The number really just indicates bugs found and fixed...
